New Double Mount Monday, July 26, 2010

Would you like to have two wind turbines but only have the room for one?  Now you can with the Cy-Clone X2 Dual.  In a nutshell, it’s 2 turbines on one pole.  You can find them, and a much better description than I’m giving here, on our web site.  Click on Complete Kits and scroll to the bottom.

What we have done is design a reverse blade system that mounts underneath our original mount.  It does not have a tail fin of its own; it uses the one on the top mount.  It mounts on the back side of the pole instead of the front and the blades are reverse pitched.  It looks pretty cool up there with the top blades spinning one direction and the bottom the other!

Granted, you don’t save a ton of money over buying 2 original Complete Kits.  although there is a savings.  The real savings are in the cost and installation of one pole  Now two turbines only take the footprint of one.  Or four of two, or eight of four…  You get the idea.

And don’t forget, our PMA’s and Kits qualify for the 30% tax credit.  I’ll have a blog about that soon

There will be some pictures of the Cy-Clone X2 Dual posted on our project site soon.  And don’t forget to send in yours wether it’s the Lite Breeze, Breeze, Cy-Clone X2, or your own design with our PMA.  If it has a WindBlue product in it, I’ll post it.

That sounds like a great idea, I can’t wait to see some pictures. If you guys want to develop something really cool I have an idea that would utilize ten of your PMA’s on a single pole. With light weight gearing and low resistance I believe you will be able to harness more power from the same amount of wind. There is one major detail I left out, and that is for me to know, and you guys to figure out. I have been designing and redesigning this device in my head for more than ten years. Once I do finally develop it you guys will say why didnt I think of that. Hopefully someday my electrical schooling will pay off and so will your Cy-Clone X2 Dual. You guys are on the right track, and if you would like to know more about my idea and all the possible applications, just ask. With or without Wind Blue Power, your PMA’s will be utilized into my invention, they seem to be the best for low speed applications. Keep up the good work and keep those new ideas coming! Anything dealing with the mechanics of making electricity is cool to me, so when I heard about the Cy-Clone X2 Dual, I had to blog something. Sorry to bore you with my other ideas that may not even work, or then again, I might be onto something futuristic.

We’re always interested in new ideas. If we’re not willing to give every idea a chance, no matter how far fetched it seems, nothing would ever have been inventd.

  3. Wow. It’s a nice reminder that good people are real in this world.
